A Microcosm

kadooreI didn't write much yesterday, but I did write. I've been using Ommwriter to draft, which is a delightful full-screen program with background noise and - the whole reason I shelled money out for it - clickety-clackety key noises. Other folks might get a legit keyboard that clicks and clacks, but I: a) love my tiny laptop that I can bring with me anywhere and, b) live with other humans who would be annoyed by the clicking and clacking.
Hence: Ommwriter.
The only downside to Ommwriter (so far) is there is no autosave and so I have to remember to copy and paste what I've written at the end of every session into the main word doc else lose it if my laptop decides to randomly restart. Which, of course, it's already done.
But!! Last night!!! I remembered to save my words! Or at least put them in the main doc which is Word which, you know, autosaves.
Except when it doesn't.
So I'm out 300-some odd words which isn't that much but it's enough to throw me off this morning and it's just another little thing along with the dozens of other little things that have added up to having a rough time writing. A microcosm, if you will. Especially when time to write is so limited right now.
But here I am again, writing out my frustration so I can head back into the word mines.
Here's hoping the kids stay asleep a little longer...
